Review: Daiso Eyeshadows Haul

Ohai ,(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ Today I'll be reviewing my Daiso eyeshadow haul I got for myself recently~

I bought 2 eyeshadow palettes from Daiso, one is the Pearl In Eyeshadow in Brown and the other is Pearl Bling Lame Eyeshadow in Pink. They're both RM5 each only! These are my cheapest eyeshadow purchase so far. Usually I wouldn't even (or rather, ever) think of getting cheap cosmetics from local non-drugstore stores. In my impression cheap cosmetic = no good.

But since it's a brand from Japan, I decided the quality would be much better and the cosmetics might be safer to apply on the skin. Bias opinion LOL (> ∇ <) I'm a true sucker for Japanese brands. I actually got the brown palette first and the colors turn out really nice, so on my second trip I got the pink one.

Now let's get started~!

Pearl In Eyeshadow in Brown

Daiso Jewel In Eyeshadow

Here's the swatches for this eyeshadow:

I LOVE the brown shades and I've been using this one a lot for my daily nude makeup look.

The colors are highly pigmented and they stay well for hours(with a good makeup base)! All the shades have a moderate amount of bling that gives them a smooth satin and pearly finish_thus explains the name_without being "too much". As in, it's just perfect for casual look-lah.

My only complain would be the applicator which has tips so course I swear it's like you're using a hard toothbrush on your eyelids.

The second palette, the Pearl Bling Lame Eyeshadow comes in 1 cream eyeshadow and 4 other colors. This palette is also available in Purple but I didn't get it because I have too many purple shades eyeshadow already.

This palette even has a built-in mirror ~ ↓

I find the cream eyeshadow doesn't have much color so I didn't swatch it. I think it merely works as a base to accentuate the other colors but don't use it at all.

The swatches for the other 4 shades are as below ↓

You can see that these 4 shades are much more sheer and are not as pigmented as the brown palette. Plus, they have very minimal bling so when applied, they give a nice matte finish. The downside? The color is not very obvious and they don't have much staying power.

Still, the pink-brown combination is just perfect for sweet, nude look. Love the color combination a lot, I'm now hunting for more pastel pink color eyeshadow (@⌒▽⌒@)  Overall, I'm quite satisfied with how both of them turn out. I am thinking or trying other cosmes products from Daiso, maybe a 'Daiso Makeup Challenge' theme post? Might want to do just that haha

Alrighty, that's it for now. Till next time, chao~!

Review: Hada Labo Air BB Cream

Hello~! I'm back with a new review~ This time it's yet another Hada Labo product. I'm in love with this brand I tell you!

Finding the right foundation or bb cream has always been a problem for me. I had the Revlon's PhotoReady that turned out very orange-y and then another Dr. Young's BB Cream that gives off grey-ish tone that makes me look like the walking dead. I hate shopping for foundation! But still, partly having the curiosity of a beauty blogger, partly desperation to get a flawless look, I decided to give Hada Labo Air BB Cream a try.

And I don't know if it's luck or what, just when I had decided to purchase one, I received one for free!! Thank you, kamisama!

So I've been using it for a weeks now, and here's what I can conclude about this BB Cream: BEST base makeup I ever had!ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ

Tell you why soon~

This BB Cream is available at RM55.90 for a 40g tube and available in two shades: Ivory Beige and Natural Beige. I received the one in Ivory Beige, which is somewhat a tone darker than the other.

Here's the swatch ↓

matched so well with my skin tone!

This is what it looks like compare to my Revlon's and Dr Young's.

Dr Young's one totally out. Sure, I picked up the wrong shade last time(there's 2 and I got the lighter one). Still, I wouldn't  back to trying Dr Young's 'cuz I find the BB creams have really grey tone! The Revlon's one appears very similar to the Hada Labo's but I find it has weird orange-y tone...

What I love about the Hada Labo one is how it blends so well with my skin tone after a little bit more dabbing!

But that's not all. This Hada Labo Air BB Cream also prides itself for working on 10-in-1 function including SPF50+PA++~! YAYY to that!

Here are the 10 functions:

HadaLabo Air BB Cream with 10-in-1 functions!

From providing a flawless coverage to sun protection to hydrating and even anti-aging properties, this BB cream has it all! Saves you a lot of time from applying all those products separately.

As for the texture, it is really light on the skin and it has super lasting coverage that stays for hours thanks to the Silicone Elastomer Blend formulated into this BB Cream. Also with low irritation and free of fragrance, mineral oil and alcohol.

Alrighty, here's the before(
derpy faceleft) and after(right) shots for this review. Now you know why I photoshop my photos (≥ . ≤)

So, I find it works really well in covering pores giving an amazing, almost smooth overall. I say almost because it only conceals the small ones better. You can see from the photo above, some of the larger pores aren't well concealed...

For scars, the coverage is somewhat medium too. It does cover up the redness of scars but I have to dab in another layer or two (I'm somewhat considering laser treatment for smoother skin on a long run hahaha)

My conclusion?

I love this Hada Labo Air BB Cream a lot because it does gives a much radiant complexion~! With the amazing 9 other functions to boot, this one's another keeper!
