Happy National Day Malaysia & My Borneo Travel Wishlist

In 2018, I find my curiosity for the mysterious island of Borneo in East of Malaysia) piqued. My trip to Kuching, the capital city of Sarawak in 2016, my BFF's obsessiveness to want to try butod or sago worms, plus the experience of living with a housemate coming from Sabah who kept telling us West Malaysians hommies that we are so ignorant to not differentiate between Sabah and Sarawak _which is so-o-o true and that they don't stay in treehouses _ okay, we finally get it.

Besides that, I also came across "Original Sabahan" song & festivals such as Pesta Nukenen a.k.a. Bario Food Festivals and so forth. These all made me want to visit Sabah and returned to Sarawak so badly.

Here are a bunch of stuff in my travel wishlist which I wanna do in Sabah & Sarawak the next time I have a change to go there again (Soon, hopefully!):

#1 Hike up the majestic Mount Kinabalu

#2 Try Sabahan's food such as butod, pinasakan, hinava, tuhau, bambangan, busou, li nopod , sinalau bakas and ambuyat. (Read about them here)

#3 Attend Tadau Kaamatan a.k.a. Harvest Festival in Sabah and watch the crowning of the Harvest Festival Queen, Unduk Ngadau (Read about them here)

#4 Attend Pesta Nukenen a.k.a. The Bario Food Festival in Sarawak

#5 Hike up the peak of Mulu's National Park in Sarawak

#6 Explore the caves such as Niah Caves. By the way, I have been to both Fairy Caves and Wind Caves in Sarawak! Read about them here.

#7 Check out the bookstores for local dialects language books (Dusun, Kadazan, Bajau, etc.). Someone better publish this ASAP if there are none! We already have Penang Hokkien guide, yo!

#8 Take the North Borneo Railway trip

#9 Try tarap and latok

#10 Dive in Sabah & Sarawak beautiful waters

#11  Explore Gaya Street Sunday Market

#12 Eat Borneo's super fresh seafood. I wrote about my makan experience at TopSpot Food Court.

#13 Admire the largest flower in the world, Rafflesia. Again.

#14 Attend the Rainforest World Music Festival, Kite Festival, Borneo Cultural & Arts Festival and festivals in Sarawak

#15 Attend the Regatta Lepa also known as  the Dragon Boar Festival or Water Festival in Sabah. Of course, other major festivals there too!

#16 Revisit my favorite restaurants in Sarawak serving aboriginal food _ The Dyak and Lepau in Kuching, Sarawak.

#17 Watch traditional Sabahan dances such as Sumazau, Sumirid and Magunatip

#18 Go to Tamu Besar Festival in Sabah

#19 Explore Sipadan National Park, Sabah

#20  Eat all the good food in Siniawan Night Market, Sarawak. Missed it last time I was in Kuching.

#21 Islands hopping around TAR National Park

#22 Embrace local culture in Mari Mari Cultural Village and Monsopiad Cultural Village in Sabah.

#23 Tandem Paragliding at Kokol Hill

#24 Waterfall Trekking

#25 Just chilling at Manukan Island, Sipadan Island or Mabul Island

If you have been to Sabah & Sarawak or are locals, what would you recommend?

In conclusion guys, sempena Malaysia's 62nd National Day, I like to advocate for Malaysians to learn more about our countries' hidden beauty and encourage y'all to go on Cuti Cuti Malaysia  because there are just so many amazing things in our beautiful country!

On top of that, I think that if our PM, Tun Dr M can  do the dasar pandang ke timur (Malay for "Look East Policy", which means to use Japan as an example to run the country) then he can also include Sabah & Sarawak in this dasar because the people are more peace-loving and harmonious like the real 1Malaysia concept. The latter just need to stop hating people of West Malaysia, seriously. My Sabahan hommie also need to stop suka suka wrongly using the phrase "nia lah". I'm gonna digress _ to back up my dear fellow Western/Peninsular Malaysians, we don't hear that much of you guys from the East. And you don't speak some of Western/Peninsular dialects either.

I know I always say stuff like Japan this, Japan that, I love Taiwan, the Nusa Islands are beautiful yada yada yada" but deep down, I love Malaysia! There's no other place which has so many good food. Like, tell me which country you can go hang out at mamak at 2am! Personally, I'm so making conquering East Coast and Eastern Malaysia my goals. You'll probably read about that on my blog in the near future!

Dolly Wink Black Mascara & Liquid Eyeliner Reviews

Hello~

Will be reviewing this Dolly Wink  Mascara in #02 Volume and Dolly Wink Black Liquid Eyeliner~ I bought them previously during Tokyo Love Collection (Part 2) pop up store at Isetan KLCC.

Previously, I have also reviewed the Dolly Wink's False Eyelashes, also hauls from Tokyo Love Collection here.

Jyan~ this is what the products look like~~

Design wise, the packaging is really cute but the mascara and eyeliner bottles are a bit too boring compared to what they have for the brown mascara and single eyeliners. Wished the black mascara have been in much cuter shades..

Now for the review of these products starting with the eyeliners~

Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Black

The thin brush helps to create smooth, fine lines. Some more, it's very easy to control and drawing closer to lash line is easy even for an eyeliner amateur like me (≥ v ≤ )

Also using this complementary Koji crayon eyeliner in black to line the upper waterline~

Here are swipes of the eyeliners (Up: Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner; Down: Koji Crayon Pencil) below. Also, did the waterproof test and result is the one on the right~

One of the con is that these eyeliners are not waterproof, especially the crayon liner which smudges onto my lower lids giving me panda eyes just after a few hours of applying :(( It didn't show much on this pic because the residue got washed away.

Dolly Wink Mascara

For the black mascara, there are options for either #01 Long or #02 Volume. I chose the latter because I prefer more visibly, thicker lashes.

This is the result after a few swipes~

From nada to super visible lashes!

Eyelashes appears much thicker without being overly clumpy (⌒o⌒ ) It's quite natural too, don't you agree? Also, this mascara's waterproof and didn't need much touching up at all!

The downside would be it takes more than 3 swipes to get the result above besides being super pricey.. I got this limited edition mascara & eyeliner set for RM78 compared to RM69.90 for mascara and RM59.90 for the liquid eyeliner if bought separately.

Super like the berry color lipstick from dabbing a bit of fuchsia-color lipstick over my Candy Doll lipgloss in Milky Orange. Cheek color is from my new Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm. Yes, a lip balm (more about it in my following review)!

Hadanomy Collagen Mist

 Besides the eye makeup, I also bought this limited edition Hadanomy's Collagen Mist that comes in this spray bottle's in heart shape. Uber cute!

Super convenient to carry this spray bottle around in handbag~! My roomie told me the spray is something like in Korean drama one LOL

Lots of Hadanomy facial care products at the booth. Got this one for only RM19 PWP. Else, original price is RM25.

I actually want EVERYTHING from the Dolly Wink collection but here're the 3 things I want the most. Contemplating to buy the matsuge for so long d 'cuz they're expensive! And now they've even added more new items, including a couple of new lashes into their collection wtf.

I LOVE most of Dolly Wink falsies, but my favorite would be the otona_means 'adult'_ style No.9 Natural Dolly ♡ I also like No. 17 Diamond Dolly for top lashes and No. 14 Natural Cute for the bottom lashes. Yessie, I prefer the ones that give a more natural and mature look. Nevertheless, they still make wonders to the eyes!

Schwarzkopf Blythe Foam Dye

I might need to shop for one of them soon, my hair needs touching up already (,=A=,) I really like the Schwarfkopf Fresh Light foam dye in Apricot but I'm worried I won't get the color I want considering my nao hair color's already so light. I'll settle for something darker first then probably go for the apricot-colored one.

I'm still deciding between Fresh Light Maple Brown, Liese and any dark chocolate shade dyes available in the pharmacy. ,(O~O,) Hmmm...

6. Lippies & Gloss

 

Canmake Lip Gloss in #05 Pink Holic Syrup

I have my eyes on these two shades: red and shocking pink(I think that's what you call it). I wrote about why I want this Canmake #05 Pink Holic Syrup gloss in my previous post. I remember seeing a Shiseido lipstick from Spring/Summer 2013 collection in this shade too. Super love it!!

So can't wait to get my hands on these items! (๑>◡<๑)♡ I really want to get them all at once leh but decide I'll work on writing reviews of items I already have_I still have a lot to go_then only reward myself with either one at a time!
