Happy Mid Autumn!!

The mid autumn festival is here and there're lantern festivals everywhere!! Gahhh! I want to play with 'tanglung' too but nobody to accompany:(  I saw a couple of cute Rilakkuma-designed paper lanterns on sale in Tesco. So tempted to get them!

This year I got the chance to try so many different mooncakes. After my last mooncake 'adventure'(see my previous mooncakes post), mom bought some more. This time, they're the mini mooncakes in red bean and my favorite durian flavor. They're about 1/4 of the large mooncakes and are very much cheaper, only RM1 per mooncake! But that's cuz they don't have any yolk in the middle lah~

Then dad got some more from his friend as a gift early this week, so err... more mooncakes?

Spent the weekend celebrating mah belated birthday with parents and sis. Just a small family affair ♥ Here's mah cake. Nothing too fancy but nice enuf. At least I got my cakeyy (^v^/)

Dad and sis were singing an unsynchronous Happy Birthday song and I shamelessly sing along, replacing the 'you' with a 'me'. Or rather a super loud, endless 'MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~~'. Soprano fail.

Been clearing up my wardrobe for clothes I don't wear anymore and stuff. It's one of my wardrobe resolution this year. At the end of the day I got a whole bagful, fukubukuro-size of clothes to be donated away.

Some of the clothes I'm currently amending. I got the white dress a tire shorter so now it's nicely fun-sized. Like me ٩(￣ε￣ )۶ Hahahahahaha.

Currently working on altering the black dress with white polka dots shorter into a tank top and my stripped, cropped top so that's it's a size smaller since I actually got it in 'L' size. Couldn't finish them because I seem to have misplaced all my other bobbins... So that's why you can see all the pins still sticking there. LOL

This one is my choice of coordinate for ViVi star search ,(//A//,) Yessie~ that's what's been keeping me busy last week. Randomly decided to join when I decided I wanted to make a dress about a month ago. I only started planning after I completed my part time job in KL so everything is so last minute. Initially, I wanted to make my own dress to match with the layered lace outer but the fabric I got online didn't turn out as I picture it so I scraped the idea even though I've got my prototype done :S

Didn't have a choice and decided to dig into whatever's available in my tiny wardrobe and came up with two coordinates. Here's the other one~

I don't look the least photogenic in the photos I submitted (,T.T,) I'm not referring to these photos though. The real shot is a full body shot with makeup. I took it with the help of the camera timer. I got 10 seconds to hit the button and then take a few steps back and pose. Then repeat the entire process again until I get a shoot I deemed OK enough. Plus, I didn't have a tripod so I have to place the camera on a ironing board, adjusted so it's high enough to get a whole body shoot. fml.

mooncakes ♡

Been about 2 weeks since I got back from KL and boy, my mom's stuffing me with food like crazy. It's food trip all the time or like all day long, on most days... GAHH. Reminds me of my NS days when I had like 6 meals a day! LOL. But that was then-lah.

I'm like "OMG. How can you eat some more? I can't catch up with you..." Believe me you, I tell my mom this every single time.

I didn't quit mind though when she asked if I wanted some mooncakes. The mooncake festivals are just around the corner so there's many stalls selling a humongous variety of mooncake!!! And they're decorated in the pretties boxes and packaging ever especially the gift sets ones! ٩(♡ε♡ )۶

We bought a box of four different flavors of our choice~ Check them out!!

Dad and mom wanted more so we head to town in the evening to get them. Walah~ This time we got the more traditional, homemades one which isn't as colorful or fanciful like other commercialized ones. Dad says they're Teochew-style mooncakes.

We bought 3 different flavors. Mom got 2 'Mixed nuts' ones since she says it was highly recommended by her friend, dad got something with the yam filling and i got my durian flavored one. Teehee~ I just like to try anything durian!

Doesn't seem so appetizing, does it? They've got a slightly sticky texture and is really very nutty. I didn't like it. It taste funny. It's my first time trying mooncake with dried minced pork_I think-lah_ filling...

I'm hoping the durian flavored one doesn't have minced pork in it ,(>A<,) Hahahaha. Trying it tomorrow for tea time.

ヾ(//v//) ﾉ What do you think? This is before I put on the falsies~I use my new Majolica Majorca eyeliner in Jewel Green as an eyeshadow. Turns out pretty awesome ♡ I'm also using Pretige Let Loose! Shimmering Shadow Dust in 15 Planet in the inner corner of my eyes and Loreal Open Eyes Pro darkest shade brown in the outer corner.

I wanted to snap a photo of all the stuff I'm using for the eye makeup but my memory card reader just broke down.I still need it for tomorrow's camwhoring. FML. Consoling myself nao with the new Ray Malaysia magazine I bought yesterday. I'l have to wait till tomorrow to look for a replacement (,T~T,)

Summer obsession: Sewing

Yessie. Sewing! I got myself a tutor to teach me fashion design during summer right after my last semester in uni. Weeheeee~ヾ(＠^▽^＠)ﾉ I've actually started at the end of my first sem but my tutor and I decided to postpone the classes until summer.

And for 2 months, I was doing fashion design crash course for 2 days a week and took up a part time that allows me to work only 3 days a week and spent my weekends doing my assignments.

So, I was taught mostly the basic stuff_drawing, sewing, putting the pieces together, etc. which was kinda nice. I got to make dresses, blouses and a pair of shorts plus a skirt that didn't quite pull off. It looked more like a lamp cover. fml. And during the last few classes, I get to play around with different designs using the mannequin. See what I made in my last assignment ,(^v^)v
