Neogence Serum: Final update!!

Here's a follow up on my previous Neogence Ace Serum post

I completed my serum faster than what I've initially predicted. So walah~! My final review on this serum~

It's empty now~

So here's the result after 10 weeks of using Neogence ACE Revitalizing and Renewal Serum.

I'm so glad I got this serum! It really is a worthwhile investment. The scars on my face have lightened up a lot and I love how my skin's gotten so much smoother compared to when I started using this serum. If you've been following my blog, you'd have notice the huge changes in my skin during these 5 months(That's when I decided to cure my skin problem)! I'll blog more about it soon ,(^v^)v

Here's what I love about this serum:

♥ Acne scars have lightened up

♥ Pores are smaller and my skin feels so much smoother! *double thumbs up*

♥ It helps brightens up my skin

♥ My skin feels slightly more plumped up

It's affordable and most important, it works!

On the down side, it takes a while_like 5 weeks_for the result to turn up. Yeah, I'm sorta the impatient type. Also, you notice there's still some noticeable scars_ especially on the right side of my face where the breakout was worse_ which I was hoping this serum could help me get rid off but it didn't. I'm guessing it'll take another bottle to cover them up.

Overall, I'm totally loving this serum. I'm giving it a

4.5 out of 5 rating ♥

Summer's in the air~!

Yaaayyyy~!!! Finally!! The semester's over~! (TvT/)

After my last presentation yesterday, I've been sleeping a lot! After my evening nap went to get myself a haircut(been depriving myself of one for 6 weeks!) and then gotten myself more beauty sleep later that night~ Weeee~

What a total bliss~! Just the other night I was sleeping on the desk(less than 30 minutes only!*sniff*) trying to do a last minute preparation for my presentation which I only started preparing right after my last paper. I had only 48 hours to prepare and was still mending my slides while waiting for my turn! But the presentation went pretty well!

I'd say it was the most awesome presentation I ever did!!

f*ck yeah presentation!

I'm so over the moon for many other reasons too~♥

For one, my hauls are all arriving!! I'm waiting for this one package I got from Taobao_missed the delivery yesterday since I had presentation.

new colored contact lenses~!!

notice my doll-like eyes?

My eyes are so huge thanks to my new lenses(review coming up!♥) they look like this puss in boots~ LOL! Can't wait to pair it with my matsuges!!! *swoon*

And then I receive this really awesome email which made my entire day like 5 times better!! But I'm not telling yet~ *evil laughter* I'll blog about it after I make another 2 more reviews. Gonna have to update on my Neogence serum review_I FINISHED IT~!

And I need to start cleaning up and packing my stuff real quick but with all the graduation hoo-ha, there're outings, camwhoring and stuff to be done. Oh dear....On the bright side, summer's here! I can blog all I want now!! (TvT/)

Maybelline's Unstoppable Curly Extension Mascara Review

Here's something that's been lying in my makeup bag for a while now.

[caption id="attachment_2006" align="aligncenter" width="490"] Maybelline Unstoppable Curly Extension[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2009" align="aligncenter" width="490"] The brush~[/caption]
Got this from Watson about a year ago, so I don't remember how much is it but this shouldn't cost you more than RM35.

[caption id="attachment_1905" align="aligncenter" width="490"] without makeup~[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1908" align="aligncenter" width="490"] with mascara~![/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1904" align="aligncenter" width="490"] bottom view of top lashes~ hahaha. the irony~[/caption]
It actually has a really strong staying power and it's waterproof too.  Plus, it's not too flashy and casual.

If you're looking to have more drama in your eyes, this may not be for you.

Unlike some other Maybelline mascara, it isn't too heavy for your lashes. I've heard my friends complaining about one of Maybelline's mascara, I forgot which one, that actually cause your natural lashes to fall off *eeek!!*

I actually love how it can accentuate the bottom lashes really well.

[caption id="attachment_2007" align="aligncenter" width="490"] Another shot taken on a different day~ Too much mascara?[/caption]
On the down side, applying too much of this mascara actually makes the lashes a little too messy-looking, especially for the bottom lashes. I'd probably opt for matsuge, that's Japanese for falsies, if I want a more obvious bottom lashes and a 'clean' look for my eyes.

SexyGirl Perfect Cut UV (SPF 50) Review

Finally! A review for my SexyGirl hauls! I've bought these two items. The first one is SexyGirl Perfect Cut UV Spray in SPF 50+ at RM27!

Perfect Cut Spray in Candy Berry scent~!

Aren't the packaging cute? It's so pink ♥

I haven't heard of this brand before until I spotted it going up for sale on HiShop and decided to give it a try. Been hunting for a good sunblock for a while now. I've got like 2 others in my room but my Eucerin has expired and I left it lying around in my room.

The Eucerin's White Solution Whitening Body Lotion isn't exactly a sunblock but previously I was just looking for some body lotion to repair my skin and treated it as a sunblock. But I realized SPF7 wasn't enough to protect my skin during the day and only use it at night.

Watson's & Eucerin sunblock~
Previously I even had Banana Boat sunblock, but I don't like the fragrance so I gave it away. After that, I got myself Watson's Ultra Protection Body Spray. I got this because I wanted to try spray-on sunblock when they were still new in the market and Watson's brand was one of the cheapest available(I'm that cheapskate!).

Watson's brand sunblock with SPF 50

While it does serve its purpose, it makes my skin looks oily since it doesn't absorb well into the skin. So I don't like wearing it to classes or I'll end up looking like a contestant in a body builder competition(they oil their body to make it look shiny!)

(,=A=,)

Now, I'm only using it when I go for a swim(it's waterproof!) or jog.

here's to illustrate how greasy it is...

Anyway, back to my new Sexy Girl aerosol-spray,  so there's 2 options of Perfect Cut spray fragrance_Candy Berry and Happy Peach. I got mine in Candy Berry and I love the scent! It's sweet and while it can appear strong when spraying, it leaves a really subtle but noticeable scent.

Perfect Cut UV SPF50+ in Happy Peach

SexyGirl QR code!

Nozzle dispersing ultra-fine mist in all direction

This spray disperse an airy sort of feel unlike the Watson's more 'solid' spray.

And this is how it looks like sprayed 10-20cm_as the instruction indicated_ away from my hand~!

A very light, almost not visible texture

Here's what I think about the SexyGirl spray-on sunscreen after trying it out for a couple of days

The plus side of this sunblock:

♥ contains hyaluronic acid, which is a commonly found ingredient for skin hydration

♥ it's light and absorbs really quickly!

♥ doesn't give out a shiny appearance

♥ pleasant, not so overpowering sweet berry scent

♥ not too bulky or heavy to fit into handbag

♥ waterproof

The flaws :

♦ claims that scent can last up to 6 hours, but the scent wears off after 3 hours or less

♦ because of the not so 'solid' dispersion of the mist, I'm worried the coverage may be a little uneven but I can't tell yet in this short duration of usage

♦ expensive for a small can

♦ I can't tell if it's still there! Not sure if it's really a bad or good thing but I'd spray again every 2-3 hour and put on a thicker coating if I'm outdoor for long hours

Besides this aerosol sunscreen, SexyGirl also has other range of products for face, hair and body care~ You can find SexyGirl products in Malaysia at SaSa outlets and even get it online, free shipping from Zalora! ,(^v^,)

my roomie_da chef!

Day 3

Roomie and I decided to cook today instead of eating out for lunch~ We made 2 simple dishes_ she taught me both of them!

She doesn't have a specific name for both the recipes so I should just call the first one 'stir fry spiced frankfurters/sausage' and 'popping seeds stir fry bread'(I'll get to this later).

Such a long name...(,=v=,)

#RECIPE 1 - stir fry spiced frankfurters/sausage

Roomie said she actually gotten this recipe from her Sri Lankan friend~

We usually use normal sausage but I only have cheese frankfurters. Still, we didn't mind the extra flavoring~ And ooh~~~ we just love the bombay onions! They've got a really strong sweet fragrance when cooked.

Oh, and usually instead of chilli paste, we used curry chicken powder and chilli powder but we ran out of them so we just chuck whatever we can substitute them with into the bowl.

[caption id="attachment_1972" align="aligncenter" width="382"] (1) slice the frankfurters~[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1973" align="aligncenter" width="382"] (2) add sliced bombay onions~[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1974" align="aligncenter" width="382"] (3) add pepper[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1975" align="aligncenter" width="382"] (4) add grinded chilli paste[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1976" align="aligncenter" width="382"] (5) mix and leave to marinade for 5-10minutes[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1981" align="aligncenter" width="382"] (6) pan fry each side until brown[/caption]

And finally~

[caption id="attachment_1983" align="aligncenter" width="490"] oishii~~~![/caption]

#RECIPE 1 - popping seeds stir fry bread

Well, there're not exactly called popping seeds but previously we didn't know what's it called and my roomie calls them popping seeds 'cuz they actually do pop! And it gets all messy since the seeds will be flying all over until they're cooked. Hahaha~

This is how we made it~

[caption id="attachment_1977" align="aligncenter" width="382"] (1) tear the bread to bit sizes and sprinkle salt water onto them~[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1978" align="aligncenter" width="382"] (2) stir fry custard seeds and cubed bombay onions till fragrant[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1979" align="aligncenter" width="382"] (3) add dried chillies and fry till fragrant[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1980" align="aligncenter" width="382"] (4) pour in 2 eggs, beaten and followed by the bread~[/caption]

Finally, fry till egg is cooked and you're done!

[caption id="attachment_1982" align="aligncenter" width="490"] yummy, yummy, yummy![/caption]

LOL. The dining table's a mess since I'm using it as my study table (>v<)

It's not exactly fast food but here in Malaysia, more like mixed rice style but hey, this is Malaysia-lah. Who cares what's written on the signboard? It's all about the food!

For a vegetarian kopitiam the food here's really nice and cheap, like RM2 only. For 3 filling dishes~!

My housemate's

[caption id="attachment_1920" align="aligncenter" width="490"] all da greens![/caption]

Mine:

[caption id="attachment_1921" align="aligncenter" width="490"] mine~ so yummy n healthy~[/caption]

And for supper, we asked our housemate to takeaway cheese naan from uni~

[caption id="attachment_1922" align="aligncenter" width="490"] From the uni's Arabian corner. They have the BEST cheese naan ever![/caption]

DAY 2

Lunch time! Brought roomie out for lunch together.

Drove to my favorite pan mee kopitiam in Broga~!

[caption id="attachment_1930" align="aligncenter" width="490"] spicy malak noodles~ and fried garlic and dried chillies to go with it ♥[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1929" align="aligncenter" width="490"] iced honey lemon juice on a hot day~[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1931" align="aligncenter" width="490"] Ads for the honey lime juice on the table~ They called it iced jelly bee! LOL![/caption]

And just now for dinner_Indonesia-style!

[caption id="attachment_1941" align="aligncenter" width="490"] mah new found love~[/caption]

Stuff my friends and I usually order~

[caption id="attachment_1942" align="aligncenter" width="490"] dishes to go together with the rice~[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1943" align="aligncenter" width="490"] fried chicken, fried tofu, tempeh which is actually fermented soybean and some vege~[/caption]

Yummy~! I'm still feeling so stuffed from dinner. ZOMG... And there's still a lot of places to eat around here (,=A=,) Errr... #firstworlddillemma?
