... loads of them!!

I've been using Maybank2u for paying my online shopping hauls for about 2 years nao. Previously, I always have to go to the bank to deposit payment, which means I have to drive to the bank then queue up for my turn which can take forever sometimes *roll eyes*

Now everything's just a few clicks away~!! So convenient!

Just last week I've went online shopping again using Maybank2u and my hauls just arrived yesterday evening ♥

Recent hauls~!

Another random post on my hauls. Went shopping recently and bought a couple of tops~! Added more colors into my wardrobe yayyyy~(≥v≤/)

hauls~!
this month's hauls (^ᴗ^人)♥

Just started wearing mah flip flops and realized it's too striking. Hahaha.

As usual, got myself ViVi and Ray magazines. Love this month's covers for both mags, they're so pretty!!
ViVi&Ray English December '12 Issue
mah favorite mags~ ♥

Ever since ViVi M'sia was launched in June 2012, I've been religiously purchasing them both every month. I've only found out about Ray English later the same month but it has been my favorite. Ray's got more girlish and colorful coordinates, which have been a great inspiration for my gal wardrobe. But I love them both le. So much that I've given up on purchasing other local mags which mostly features tons of advertisements:/

Have you bought ViVi or Ray mag? Are you a ViVi gal or Ray gal? Or both? (,^v^,)

Review: SilkyGirl's Perfect Cover Concealer

This time I'm writing a review about some of the stuff in mah makeup bag v(^v^,) Here's my SilkyGirl's Perfect Cover concealer~!

Silky Girl Perfect Cover Concealer

Silky Girl Perfect Cover Concealer

Silky Girl's one of the most local brand with really affordable yet with satisfactory quality cosmetics in Malaysia. What attracted me to get this concealer's how it comes in a small twist tube(besides affordability). So convenient! Plus, for only RM14.90, you don't have to worry about burning a hole in your pocket.

Silky Girl's Perfect Cover Concealer

twist tube concealer~ how convenient!

This concealer is available in 2 shades_01 Light and 02 Medium. I got mine in 02 Medium shade 'cuz I find the first shade way-y too light for my skin tone and fear it made the troubled spots looked obvious instead of concealing them...

2 shades available~

Here's the swatch for 02 Medium on my hand. It's looks quite light on my skin here but I find it just perfect~! The texture's creamy sort and glides effortlessly when applying. It easily blends into the skin too with just a couple gentle patting.

swatch on my hand!
swatch on my hand!

OK, so the verdict? This concealer's totally worth the price~! It works really well in covering up uneven skin tone such as dark circles and actually covered up some small pores too. Well not entirely, but works good enough to. What's more, it lasted for a good couple of hours.

On the downside, this concealer doesn't do much in concealing pimples but simply reducing the redness of the pimple.

I read a couple of other reviews and found that some who tried this concealer found noticeable tiny lil' 'dots' appearing on their skin after putting it on. I'm guessing it's because of the concealer drying up and clumping up together. As for me, I've don't have such problem maybe 'cuz I've got a combination skin type so the concealer doesn't dries up on my skin.

Overall, I must say, I'm pretty satisfied with this buy. I don't see any need to get a replacement any soon, this concealer's pretty lasting. But I would actually buy it again 'cuz it's just so convenient. On days when I'm too lazy to put on foundation_and when I need to look good, fast_ I'll just simply go with this on my entire face(≥vO)

The masks I got:

Rilakkuma & Kurilakkuma's Masks[/caption]

There's actually Kotori's version too but the supplier I got from didn't have them,(T^T,) I found NattaCosme  has the entire set but they were charging slightly higher for the mask and delivery. I got mine for RM3.20 each from another supplier who were offering cheaper delivery.

Anyway, NattaCosme's quite an awesome beauty site to check out. It's got over 300 different masks to choose from!!! Plus it ships overseas~!

~ ♥ ~

I usually put on mask once a week only but these week decided to mask twice. Think my skin's feeling really stressed up and tired this couple of days... Happily tried them on two different occasions~

[caption id="attachment_2995" align="aligncenter" width="336"]

partially decapitated. wtf[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2992" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

content: sheet mask soaked in 30ml essence[/caption]

The masks are really thin_only 0.2mm thickness. While it isn't as thin as Bliv's silk mask, they fit really well. Also, I realize the masks are wider at the sides thus better coverage at the side of my face and has quite a snug fit.

[caption id="attachment_2993" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

Rilakkuma's mask[/caption]

I tried the Rilakkuma's firming+hydrating mask first and found the essence had quite a peculiar fragrant. How should I put it...? It kinda reminds you of the ocean. Or algae-infested lake. LOL. It was really mild sort so I didn't really mind. I left it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or so and it felt really refreshing on the skin.

Kurilakkuma's mask on the other hand has a sweeter, mild floral-y fragrant. It's a very common scent which reminded me of Bliv sheet masks.

[caption id="attachment_2994" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

another sad case of decapitated kuma-chan... (ToT)[/caption]

Whilst I like how my skin feels after using both masks, I didn't feel there's much of a difference after using the Kurilakkuma's Caviar Essence Q10 Whitening mask(damn it, what's with the long name??). I think you don't usually get instant whitening effect just by trying a single sheet of mask:S  The Rilakkuma's Marine Collagen Hydrating mask did make some difference_my skin felt slightly more firm the following morning.

Repurchase? Rilakkuma masks, probably. Kurilakkuma's mask maybe not.  I'm so-0 getting Kotori's Glacial Clay Vitamin B5 Deep Cleansing from NattaCosme to try it out!! These days I'm very interested in masks that concentrates in deep cleansing, pore tightening, firming and skin repair. Dunno what's got into me but I'm suddenly interested in getting snail masks after reading it from XiaXue's blog post. Now who's crazy over facial masks like I do?

Hat Yai trip~~

Couple of days ago I went to Hat Yai for a short trip with mom. She randomly decided to go there since it's been years she's been there. As for me, that's my first trip to that part of Thailand. Some years ago, I did went to Golok but had vague memories of the place(was still a kid!).

[caption id="attachment_2944" align="aligncenter" width="560"]
oh~la~la~[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2946" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

reaching da border~[/caption]

Hat Yai's an hour drive after crossing the border. Upon arrival at Hat Yai, we were greeted by dozens and dozens of tuk tuks there. You can see some tuk tuks around the border too but they weren't as many as they were in Hat Yai. It's basically the most common public transport available and convenient too provided it didn't rain I guess...

[caption id="attachment_2940" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

one of the dozens tuk tuk in Hat Yai~ such an interesting transport.[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2923" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

Hat Yai~! Arrived at around 11am Thailand local time~[/caption]

Checked into our hotel first~ It's called Diamond Plaza Hotel which is located at the heart of Hat Yai. The famous Santisuk market and Kim Yong market are located just walking distance away. Also, there're 3 departmental stores nearby Santisuk Market too_Central Plaza, Lee Gardens Plaza and Odean.

[caption id="attachment_2941" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

Our room~[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2934" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

Hat Yai from my hotel room~[/caption]

Lunch time at some kopitiam along Thanoo Saneha Nusorn road. I actually ordered something else(or so I thought I was) but I guess due to some language miscommunication of some sort, the waitress brought me koey teow soup. I was like, is this my food? Really?? Damn it. I hate koey teow soup٩(*A*۶)Don't even remembered the last time I had one before this.

Worse still, it tasted so bland I dumped in loads of dried chili flakes, vinegered chili sauce and sesame oil into my noodles. Better spicy than tasteless.

[caption id="attachment_2939" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

super bland koey teow soup...[/caption]

We ordered tom yam soup as a side too but forgot to snap photo. It's not bad but I think maybe it's a lil' pricey...

After lunch, we went shopping around Santisuk and Kim Yong market. There were many small stalls but they were basically selling the same thing_either selling CDs/DVDs, watches or electronics stuff. There're a couple others selling apparels, one or two spy gadgets stalls and long rows of stalls selling fruits or local snacks and loads of souvenirs.

[caption id="attachment_2924" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

first tuk tuk ride to Hat Yai's 'Big Market'[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2926" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

only 20baht per person to get around Hat Yai![/caption]

Later in the evening, we decided to check out Hat Yai's 'Big Market' 'cuz another tourist from Indonesia who we were hanging out with wanted to get some Zebra brand steel wares which is famous in Thailand. Shopping with aunties thereX(

LOLOL. Apparently Thailand's Zebra brand wares have always been famous among tourist. Malaysians tourist used to get loads of this Zebra wares too before they started to import them into the countries years ago.

Hat Yai's 'big market' is quite a distance away from where we were staying so we took a tuk tuk to get there. It's just pretty much similar with Santisuk Market only there were more shops selling clothes, bags and wallets. Mom decided to get this in my opinion fake  smuggled in apparently according to the shop keeper Kippling duffle travel bag and a backpack for 2000baht.

So expensive!(,X-X,)

As for me, I got myself a really pretty floral shorts there for only 190baht! Best bargain for shorts I ever got and it's pretty too! (^v^/)

[caption id="attachment_2925" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

Hat Yai 'Big Market'[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2927" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

stalls lined alongside the road near Hat Yai 'Big Market'[/caption]

Spent quite a while looking around... Did find some shops selling cute tees and dress but the stuff are pretty similar to the clothes you can find in Malaysia and there wasn't much of a bargain so I didn't get any.

Took a while there I guess, then we decided to find a restaurant for dinner. We found one close by our hotel and ordered fried rice and tom yam soup(again, lol) . Forgot to snap photos 'cuz I was too tired from all the walking and lack of sleep by then... Still, after dinner we decided to explore the area around Lee Gardens Plaza~ Here's the view at night_still bustling with activities.

[caption id="attachment_2928" align="aligncenter" width="560"]
Lee Garden Plaza @ night[/caption]

I actually wanted to go shopping at Asian Trade market, Hat Yai's night market 'cuz I heard they've got lots of apparels and stuff to see. But I just found out that the night market only opens on Thursday to Sunday. And we went on a Tuesday... (,T^T,)

Anyway, there're loads of stalls selling souvenirs around this area so we were checking them out and among those were cute, small tuk tuk models~! Hung out around Odean and Lee Gardens Plaza too before heading back to our hotel for a good night's rest~

[caption id="attachment_2931" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

night view~[/caption]

~♥~

Day 2 begins with breakie at McDonalds before exploring further down the street behind our hotel and checking out Central Plaza. I kinda like the plaza 'cuz there were more branded items and something more up to date. I found some nice outfits from brands like deFry 01, Lolita and some other local/international brands but the stuff I like mostly were way over 1990baht.... (≥A≤/)

I was also very tempted to grab a couple of printed tees including a Hello Kitty one from FOX... Acck! Why are they all so expensive lah??

[caption id="attachment_2936" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

prawn glass noodles~[/caption]

Lunch time at a kopitiam opposite the Pink Lady Plaza/Hotel. I ordered this fried glass noodles with prawns and the aloe vera juice 'cuz I find it interesting but it tasted like sugared water wtf.

[caption id="attachment_2935" align="aligncenter" width="336"]

aloe vera juice~[/caption]

The portion of the food serve in that restaurant were humongous and very, very pricey. I'm not sure if they're overcharging us knowing we're tourist or what.

Last minute souvenirs shopping in the morning in front of Lee Gardens Plaza and I found this one stall selling handmade handbags, drawstring bags and hp casing. Got the handbag 'cuz it's so cute (//v//)/ We also bought most of the souvenirs here.

[caption id="attachment_2953" align="aligncenter" width="560"]

one of the souvenirs from hat yai~ v(^v^,)[/caption]

That's pretty much what we were doing around Hat Yai~ If we had more time I actually wanted to explore more places like the KlongHae floating market and go for elephant trekking but I guess I'll have to leave that for next time. Hehehe ,(^v^,)

Clean&Clear's Ekspressi Kejelitaanmu

Just weeks ago I took part in the Clean & Clear's "Ekspressi Kejelitaanmu", Malay for "Express your Beauty" on their fb page.

The contest is held concurrently to the Mad Markets series aired starting 2 months ago. Just in case you're wondering, Mad Markets is a TV series hosted by Malaysia's Celebrity Blogger Hanis Zalikha(her blog here). The program features the best places to shop and pamper yourself in Asia countries.

So far they've aired the episodes taken in Singapore, Sabah, Sarawak, Indonesia and Bangkok, the latter episodes was my favorite. Dunno how I missed the Singapore episode (,ToT,) The last episode featuring Hong Kong was aired two weeks ago.  Was a lil' disappointed 'cuz there were barely 10 episodes but I heard there will be a Season 2 of Mad Markets featuring places in Japan and Korea via Hanis' tweet. Looking forward to them~

Anyway, you can watch Mad Markets and other series/movies (including Dato' Lee Chong Wei's LIVE wedding day) aired on Malaysia TV Channels via www.tonton.com.my. It's a paid service thingy but you get 30 days trial period :S

Basically this contest requires participants to upload photos of their favorite stuff on the site and weekly winners will be chosen by the organizer. The weekly winner gets RM250 worth of vouchers and RM60 worth of Clean&Clear products.

They also mentioned that the grand price winner gets a RM1000 cash prize and a chance to shop with Hanis, host for the TV series Mad Markets which has been aired since a month ago! Apparently ONE grand prize winner will be chosen among all of the weekly prize winners.

And guess what? I turned up as one of their weekly winner~!!

((((TvT)/)))

So happy I can dance like the Red Indians do in circle around a bonfire. Only I'm doing it in style_Gangnam style. WTF.

My winning photo were the heels I got from Kota Damansara weeks ago. Here are all the entries I've submitted, most stuff you would have seen it in my blog already~

And here's something which I've haven't put up in my blog before~ My favorite watch my sis got for me as my birthday prezzie a year or 2 so ago... Here, I wore it together with different bracelets! I just LOVE to stack those stuff up~!

After I posted this there were like half a dozen or more entries put up stacking bracelets/bangles with watch. Hmm... I can pass as a trendsetter *proud*
